SEVEN MAGIC MOUNTAINS
BY Ugo Rondinone
Ugo Rondinone, born 1964 in Brunnen, Switzerland, lives and works in New York and has long embraced a fluid range of forms and media. By allowing himself such formal and thematic freedom, Rondinone creates the conditions for an expansive emotional range. His work has become recognized for its ability to channel both psychological expressiveness and profound insight in the human condition and the relationship between human being and nature. Referring concurrently to the natural world, romanticism and existentialism, his works encapsulate a “mental trinity” that has underpinned his art for more than twenty years. Recent solo shows include Carre d’Art, Nimes, Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam (2016); Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Secession, Vienna (2015), Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, Museo Anahuacalli, Mexico (2014); Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, M Museum, Leuven (2013)

Akhob by James Turrell
American artist James Turrell’s light environment, Akhob, quietly obliterates the world outside. Akhob, from the Amarna-period Egyptian for “pure water,” is the artist’s largest ganzfeld effect to date, arguably one of the largest permanent ganzfelds in the world. Staged in two colorfully lit chambers to prepare visitors for the sensing space, where they perceive a light-filled void of indeterminate dimension. Access is limited to four guests at time.
Presented by Louis Vuitton
“My work has no object, no image and no focus. With no object, no image and no focus, what are you looking at? You are looking at you looking. What is important to me is to create an experience of wordless thought.”
– James Turrell
The Neon Museum home to some of the most treasured and world-famous signs of Las Vegas, is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment. The museum's collection, displayed across a 2-acre indoor and outdoor area, consists of the Neon Boneyard, housed within the former La Concha Motel lobby and the North Gallery.
Integratron Sound Bath
Not many buildings can claim to have been built under the instruction of aliens from Venus. The Integratron, however, is not your usual two-up, two-down. Located in the heart of California’s Mojave desert, the white-domed structure is set on an “intersection of powerful geomagnetic forces, that, when focused by the unique geometry of the building, concentrate and amplify the earth’s magnetic field.” In other words, expect some seriously good vibrations.
“Sound healing, or vibrational medicine, has grown in popularity, but there is no clinical proof it has any effect on the human body apart from alleviating stress.”
Two Bunch Palms Spa Experience
Two Bunch Palms is one of the oldest hot mineral spring resorts in the country, and also the first carbon neutral resort in America. Two Bunch Palms is defined by: the mineral-rich waters, the Californian landscape (a view of the San Jacinto Mountains), the healing spa treatments, and the tranquility.

“Buy the ticket, take the ride ... and if it occasionally gets a little heavier than what you had in mind, well...maybe chalk it up to forced consciousness expansion: Tune in, freak out, get beaten.”
