Art Basel Miami Beach will take place 7–10 December with a Preview Day on Wednesday 6 December. This year’s fair brings together over 200 of the world’s leading international Modern and Contemporary art galleries, showcasing today’s significant artworks by over 4,000 artists.
Aside from the art fairs, there are many cultural institutions that are worth visiting including The Bass, Institute of Contemporary Art Miami (ICA), Lowe Art Museum, Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), NSU Art Museum and the Wolfsonian.
Located in front of the Biscayne Bay, the entirely new museum PAMM building, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron, opened in 2013 during the Miami art week, which gives the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) a new life—significant improvements to its earlier incarnation as the Miami Art Museum. By fully utilizing this fabulous park-like museum building and its full-services facilities, PAMM is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals as well as social life in the communities.
